Le Carrefour de la Vierge Noire
Passing through the Saint-Jacques Gate, pilgrims walked up the Rue de la Vau-Saint-Jacques, which was the main artery of the medieval town, from north to south. At the first crossroads, a statue of the Black Virgin, housed on the façade of a 15th century house, protects and guides the pilgrims.
